SPURS boss Mauricio Pochettino has offered warm words of support for the club’s former winger Aaron Lennon after reports that he was suffering from a stress-related illness.
The 30-year-old, who now plays for Everton, was reported to have been sectioned under the Mental Health Act after being spotted by police by the side of a busy road in Greater Manchester.
Pochettino, who managed Lennon in his first season as manager, said: "We feel very sorry to hear he is in this situation and we hope he recovers soon. The club is in contact with his agent to see what we can do to help him.
"He is a player who was here for nearly ten years and Tottenham care about him. We are concerned about the situation."
